Medically Tailored Meals Delivered to Your Door!
Turkey Vegetable Pasta
We have been working on this program for quite some time now at Good Bowls and we finally got everything in place and launched the program this month! During our participation in the North Carolina Healthy Opportunities Pilot we received so many requests for meals that meet specific dietary needs that we developed an entire medically tailored meal line to meet the varied needs of our customers.
Sadly, the innovative Healthy Opportunities Pilot was discontinued this year after funding cuts. But when life gives you lemons, at Good Bowls we make a zesty lemon cream sauce to drizzle on roasted broccoli…..anyway, we now have an entire line of medically tailored meals and we’re offering them for home delivery in the Triangle Area.
Turkey Meatballs and Mash
These simple and delicious meals meet a wide variety of dietary needs that include carb controlled, heart healthy, and kidney friendly. Many are simple and comfort-style dishes that are working perfectly for both families and care provider programs.
The Carb Controlled boxes are great for people managing pre-diabetes, diabetes, or simply looking for a diet that supports weight management and sustained energy. Our Heart Healthy meals are low in sodium, saturated fat, and cholesterol, plus they have plenty of vegetables, lean protein, and whole grains. Lastly, our Kidney Friendly line helps to take the guess work out of a renal diet. Our nutritionist worked with our chefs to prepare delicious meals with a calculated amount of potassium, phosphorous, and sodium and just the right amount of protein.

The Food is Medicine movement is an increasingly popular approach to maintaining good health and we’re happy to add to the movement with our medically tailored meal line. If you, a loved one, or your care provider program need meals that meet specific dietary needs, try a box of our medically tailored meals and we think you’re going to love these tasty recipes. As the writer of this blog, I shot all the photos too so got to sample all the dishes….the turkey meatballs with some added BBQ sauce and the turkey veg pasta….whew!
