We believe food is medicine and that eating nutritious food is the path to better health and well being.  That’s why Equiti Foods is happy to team up with NourishedRx and Blue Cross NC to provide Good Bowls for the Feed Your Health Program.

About Feed Your Health

Feed Your Health is a program from NourishedRx that is available to members of Blue Cross NC.  It is a food is medicine program designed to help people managing Type 2 Diabetes and is available to people that have recorded an A1c of 8% or above within the last 6 months. 

The program starts with 3 weeks of home delivered healthy meals followed by meal kits and groceries combined with one-on-one consulting with a nutrition coach.  Feed Your Health believes that with easier and better access to nutritious food, people can live a happier and healthier life.

Good Bowls to ‘Feed Your Health’

Good Bowls are healthy frozen meals that were created by a UNC nutrition professor and are ideal for a food is medicine program.  Good Bowls are based on the Mediterranean diet and feature whole grains, healthy oils, seasoned roasted vegetables, lean proteins and are ideal for people managing their A1c levels. 

Good Bowls come in a wide variety of flavors and favorites include the Farmhouse Mac and Cheese, Chicken Burrito Bowl, Golden Panko Chicken, Meatballs and Mash plus dozens of additional southern classics.
